The Northeast Arc provides 24-hour community based residential supports for adults with disabilities. We own and lease homes that maximize independence while providing oversight with qualified direct support professionals.
Housing services and supports vary based upon the personal needs of individuals living in the home. Though each home is uniquely designed and defined, the unifying element is that all supports utilize best practices and give participants the tools they need to achieve their personal goals.
Healthcare Management – support surrounding all medical and health needs a participant may have. Staff attend all medical appointments and work cooperatively with community physicians and specialists to ensure optimum care is provided. Individuals in 24-hour services will have A Nurse Case Manager assigned to them.
Medication Management – Supports and education are provided to assist participants in making informed decisions around their medication regime. Individuals are encouraged to participate in their medication administration to the fullest extent possible. We utilize a centralized pharmacy and all staff administering medication are specifically trained and certified.
Behavioral Health Management – Northeast Arc staff work with community practitioners and therapists to maximize a person’s emotional well-being while working towards achieving minimum therapeutic dosages of medications. Behavioral and supportive guidelines are utilized as appropriate to provide the structure and support participants need.
Financial Management – We provide training and education around personal money management. Staff assists individuals in applying for all available benefits. The Northeast Arc may also serve as a representative payee, handling an individual’s income and bill payment if requested.
Recreational/Social – Individuals are encouraged and supported in becoming active members of their community and in exploring, expanding and discovering leisure interests. Staff support participants in working toward their fitness goals.
Life Skills Training- Participants are taught how to handle conflict, improve communication, establish boundaries and express emotions.
