Day Services

The Northeast Arc’s Day Services Division provides a broad range of employment and day habilitation services for adults with disabilities; transition services for high school students with disabilities; and services for the business community.

Heritage Industries, the employment component of the Northeast Arc, provides vocational supports to adults with disabilities. Work programs range from facility based subcontract work, to community work sites, supported and competitive employment. The quality and quantity of our employment services and our ability to successfully support individuals with significant needs distinguish us from other providers. We have received four consecutive certifications of Two Years with Distinction, the highest ranking provided by the state Department of Developmental Services’ Survey and Certification team, and maintained national CARF certification for over 15 years.

Day habilitation provides assistance with acquisition, retention, or improvement of self-help, socialization and adaptive skills. Services focus on enabling the individual to attain or maintain his or her maximum functional level. We offer four separate day habilitation programs in order to meet the specific goals of adults of all ages and a wide variety of needs. Our day habilitation programs all provide a full spectrum of medical management and services. Participants have access to a variety of medical resources such as Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, Speech Therapy and Behavioral Support as well as medical case management by Registered Nurses.

Students transitioning from high school to the world of work are introduced to career options through our contracts with local school districts.
