Drop-In Homework Help Group
Mondays - September 20 - December 6th and will resume in January
Monday 3:30 pm - 5:30 pm
6 Southside Rd, Danvers MA

Spotlight is now offering drop-in homework help times for all Spotlight kids and teens.  Counselors wil be available to help Spotlighters get work organized for the week, start and organize and project, or simply complete homework.  This is a great way to get some homework help while avoiding homework arguments!

Cost: $35 per 2 hour session

Mondays, September 20th - December 11th
Spotlight Social Skills Groups
Saturdays from 10 am -12 pm, and Monday through Thursday 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm
6 Southside Rd, Danvers MA

Spotlight is an innovative drama-based social pragmatics program for children ages 9-22 with social-emotional challeges such as Asperger's Syndrome, ADHD, anxiety and depression.

Registration is now open for our Fall semester of social skills groups which begin on September 20th.  Groups are held once a week Monday through Thursday or on every other Saturday at 6 Southside Road in Danvers.

Cost: $630 for weekdays and $520 for every other Saturday, every Saturday $900

Teens Support Group
Wednesday nights - September 22nd - December 8th for Fall group and will resume in January
Wednesdays 6:15 pm - 7:15 pm

Our teens support groups, mediated by Spotlight staff, offer a supportive environment in which teens ages 14-19 can discuss the myriad issues facing them today, including school, friendship and relationships.  Boys and girls groups are held separately.

We are offering this group on Wednesday evenings at the same time and location as our parent support groups for convenience.

Cost: $15 per group, or 6 groups for $60

Parent Support Group

We are pleased to introduce our Spotlight parent support group, which will allow parents to talk with and receive support from one another around issues related to parenting a transition-aged child with social emotional challenges.

We are offering this group on Wednesday evenings at the same time and location as our boys and girls Teens support groups for convenience.

Cost: $10 per group

Monday, September 25th - November 15th
Teens in Transition Saturday Groups
Saturdays 1:30 pm - 4:30 pm
6 Southside Rd, Danvers MA

After the success of our summer Teens in Transition group, Spotlight is pleased to offer a new Saturday group for teens ages 14-19 which will incorporate community field trips, guest speakers and a support group component into the curriuculum, all of which are intended to help teens prepare for their transition into adulthood.  We will address skills such as independence, self awareness and identity, community living, understanding dating and relationships, education and employment.

Cost: $750 for 8 weeks

OnQ Social Skills Groups
Saturdays from 10 am -12 pm, and Monday through Thursday 3:45 pm - 5:00 pm

Cost: $400 weekdays, $500 Saturdays

LifeQuest Workshop Series:
The Journey to Adulthood for Individuals with Disabilities
DDS & MRC
: Friends Along the Journey

The Journey to Adulthood for Individuals with Disabilities is a ten month series that covers various topics that pertain to transitioning from school to college and/or employment. This is a great opportunity to network with other families, your greatest allies as you proceed on your journey. The more information you have, the better prepared you are. Our goal is to support families, and to put them in touch with the opportunities for success in life. You are not alone, and with the assistance of friends and professionals, you will enjoy the sights and experiences, as well as the friendships, you encounter on this incredible journey.

This workshop, "DDS & MRC: Friends Along the Journey" is an overview of two agencies that play a pivotal
role: Department of Developmental Services (DDS), and Mass Rehab Commission (MRC).

A staff and Student Showcase - An Evening of One-Act Performances

Come experience the creative talents that our students and staff possess! Spotlight counselors and participants have put together a variety of pieces that incorporate drama, comedy, improv, and music into one unforgettable evening. Please join us! Refreshments will be available for purchase.

IEP Clinic @ ASC: 
12 noon to 1:30 pm
6 Southside Rd, Danvers MA
Cost: $15

How does your child’s IEP shape up? Are the benchmarks measurable? Does the IEP include everything that was recommended? Are certain goals missing from the IEP that testing shows should be included? Is the IEP working? Come and confer with experienced advocates and brainstorm with other families. It’s your chance to find some solutions and to problem-solve around your child’s IEP. Limited to 5 participants. Fee: $15.
